English Channel, South Coast
Large and powerful waves are expected to overtop sea defences as a result of high spring tides and strong winds. Consequently, flooding is expected within 2 hours of high tide at 00:15 am Tuesday, 11/02/20 along the coastline from Dungeness to Rye.
Strong winds are forecast to cause continued tidal surges through Tuesday 11/02/20. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking our defences and structures and are on site at Jury’s Gap actively monitoring the situation and prepared to respond if required. Please be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous. This message will be updated by 10am tomorrow morning, 11/02/20, or as the situation changes. A forecast tide of 4.7 m AOD is expected at 00:15 on 11/02/20 with Force 8 westerly winds.

English Channel, South Coast
This Flood Warning has been issued due to high tides expected to affect coastal locations in this area. Flooding is expected at least two hours either side of high tide, between 10:15am and 2:15pm on Sunday 29/09/19. Flooding is forecast to affect locations nearest the coast throughout this area, in particular around Camber, Jury’s Gap and Dungeness area. The high tides are forecast to continue for the next few days and the next high tide at 12:37am on 30/09/19 could also see flooded properties. We will issue further messages if required. Please take action to protect yourself and your property in areas nearest the coast, and remain aware of your local situation. We are closely monitoring the situation from our incident room and have deployed staff to operate defences and to respond to the flooding. This message will be updated between 3pm and 6pm on 29/09/19. For those who need it, the total water level for Rye is forecast to be 4.71mAOD at 12:17pm on day, 29/09/19.
