Water levels on the River Nairn are now dropping but remain high.
Flooding to low lying agricultural land, properties and access routes is expected. This includes the area around the River Nairn between Broadley and Fishertown and low lying properties at Firhall and Househill and along Mill Road. Also along the Auldearn Burn at River Park and Balmakeith Park.

An updated FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Nairn.
Water levels on the River Nairn are extremely high and will peak on Monday evening.
Flooding to low lying agricultural land, properties and access routes is expected. This includes the area around the River Nairn between Broadley and Fishertown and low lying properties at Firhall and Househill and along Mill Road. Also along the Auldearn Burn at River Park and Balmakeith Park.
High tide at Nairn is around 7.40pm and may increase flooding impacts around the Fishertown area.

The worst of the rain has passed though some heavy showers are still in the area. River levels are expected to peak during the morning.

A FLOOD WARNING update has been issued for Nairn.
Persistent rain over the past 36 hours to Thursday morning caused river levels to rise enough that there is a risk of flooding to agricultural land and low lying properties along the River Nairn between Broadley and Fishertown in Nairn. There is also a risk of flooding along the Auldearn Burn around River Park and Balmakeith Park.
River levels have now peaked in the River Nairn however impacts may occur during the period around the high tide at 1300hrs on Thursday.

Persistent rain over the past 36 hours has caused river levels to rise enough that there is now a risk of flooding to agricultural land and low lying properties along the River Nairn between Broadley and Fishertown in Nairn. There is also a risk of flooding along the Auldearn Burn around River Park and Balmakeith Park.
Showers are continuing to affect the area but should clear away during Thursday morning. The forecast for the rest of Thursday and into the weekend is for drier colder weather and so conditions should begin to improve over the next few hours.
