River levels on the Dearne have started to fall slowly today (9/11/19) but this warning will remain in force until levels have fallen significantly. Any further showers today should not impact the river levels, as they are forecast to be fast moving. River levels on the Dearne have started to fall slowly today (9/11/19) but this warning will remain in force until levels have fallen significantly. We hope to remove the warning later today. Any further showers today should not impact the river levels, as they are forecast to be fast moving.

Levels on the Upper Dearne have peaked, however levels on the lower part of the catchment remain high. The River Dearne at Adwick remains above the flood risk threshold and therefore this flood warning remains in force. Please be aware that there may still be standing water and debris around so remain aware of your surroundings when in this area. Dearne Mouth Sluices are operating and our incident room remains open to monitor the situation. We do not expect any further significant rainfall in the next 24 hours and therefore river levels should continue to recede. This message will be updated in 8 hours’ time or if the situation changes.

River Dearne
River levels have risen as a result of the persistent heavy rainfall today. Consequently, flooding of property and roads across Harlington is expected this evening, 07/11/19. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours and we expect river levels to remain high until 09:00 on 08/11/19. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast and our incident room is open. Please put your flood plan into action and see the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast.
