Although river levels are currently low, rainfall has arrived in the catchment this evening on the 7th October. This rainfall is expected to become heavy at times, will continue through the night and is set to clear by mid-morning tomorrow on Thursday the 8th October. The combination of ground conditions, existing river levels and the forecast rainfall gives a risk of flooding overnight and into tomorrow. We will continue to monitor the situation over this period and will update this message if the situation changes.

River levels in Ceredigion are slowly starting to fall but will remain high throughout Monday. Heavy showers are forecast throughout the day which may cause levels to rise slightly. Natural Resources Wales will be monitoring the situation. This Flood Alert is for Sunday 4th October 2020. Heavy rain is forecast overnight and into Sunday morning before clearing Sunday lunchtime. River levels are expected to remain high throughout Sunday. River levels peaked overnight and are beginning to recede, this flood alert is likely to be removed this afternoon on Monday 22nd January as the river levels continue to fall throughout the morning.
