Heavy rain has fallen throughout Thursday 7th November and overnight into Friday 8th. Further heavy showers have also fallen during the morning of Friday 8th in the Waith Beck catchment. This is causing the Waithe Beck to rise and is forecast to continue to rise through the day. The rising river levels have already caused flooding of low lying land and roads around Hatcliffe, and due to the continued response of the beck to rainfall we now expect properties in Hatcliffe to be affected from the afternoon on Thursday 8th November onwards.
