Consequently water levels around high tides from Wednesday 11/03/20 until Thursday 12/03/2020 have the potential to cause flooding along low lying property, land and roads. This flood warning remains in force as a result of high spring tides combined with a small positive surge. Consequently, water levels around high tide on Wednesday 11/03/20 has the potential to cause flooding along low lying land and properties in Whitby around Church Street and the harbour between 04:15 and 05:30. Take care around low lying roads and footpaths between these times. Conditions around high tides between Wednesday and Thursday are expected to remain at similar levels. This flood warning has been issued as a result of high spring tides combined with a small positive surge. Consequently, water levels around high tides this evening, Tuesday 10/03/20 has the potential to cause flooding along low lying land and properties in Whitby around Church Street and the harbour between 16:00 and 17:00. Similar levels are possible on Wednesday morning 11/03/20 between 04:15 and 05:30. Take care around low lying roads and footpaths between these times. Conditions around high tides between Tuesday and Thursday are expected to remain at similar levels. We will update this message in 8 hours, or as the situation changes

Similar coastal conditions are expected to continue into next week, and we are likely to reissue this Warning later today with updated information for high tides on Monday and Tuesday.
