This flood warning remains in force due to high levels on the Rivers Wiske and Swale. Levels at Kirby Wiske peaked at 3m this morning. Localised showers are forecast across the area on Wednesday. We do not expect to see a significant response as a result of this, but as the catchment remains saturated levels are likely to remain high, affecting local access roads and fields. This flood warning has been issued due to rising river levels around Kirby Wiske. The current level is 2.84m and is expected to reach 3m between 9 and 10 am this morning. Access roads to the village begin to flood at this level. Levels are expected to continue to rise during the day with current forecasts suggesting a level of 3.5m later tonight, Wednesday 4th April. This flood warning remains in force. The current level at Kirby Wiske where the Wiske joins the Swale is 2.9m and is falling slightly. Rainfall this morning in the upper catchment could cause a slight rise again this evening and levels will remain high overnight. Some flooding of access roads is expected. This flood warning has been issued in response to rising levels on the River Wiske. Levels on the River Wiske are expected to reach 3.0m around 7:00am which will result in road flooding and restricted access to Kirby Wiske. Further rainfall is expected in the area and levels are expected to continue rising throughout Wednesday. We will continue to monitor the situation and will update this message accordingly. This warning remains in force due to heavy rainfall on Wednesday and overnight in the Yorkshire Dales. The current level at Kirby Wiske is 3.2m, and this is expected to peak below 3.3m in the early hours of Friday morning. We do not currently expect the Kirby Bridge road to flood however we will continue to monitor the situation and update this message accordingly. No significant further rainfall is expected and river levels are expected to fall below 3.0m later on Friday.

This warning has been issued due to heavy rainfall on Wednesday and overnight in the Yorkshire Dales. The current level at Kirby Wiske is 2.5m, and this is expected to reach 3m and start to flood access roads at around 2pm on Thursday 23rd November. A peak level of up to 4m could be reached at around midnight before levels start to fall, but this forecast is of lower confidence and we will update this message as new information becomes available. No significant further rainfall is expected but we will continue to monitor the situation.
