A FLOOD WARNING update has been issued for Stronsay.
Whilst the risk of wave overtopping is reducing due to lower water levels, the continuation of strong north-westerly winds, becoming northerly overnight, means that a continued risk of coastal flooding in Stronsay remains. Any low lying coastal roads and properties across the island exposed to the prevailing wind will be subject to significant wave spray impacts. Waves overtopping roads, harbour and foreshore may lead to hazardous and unpredictable conditions. Northerly winds place houses facing the harbour in Whitehall at particular risk. The highest risk will be a few hours either side of the high at 01:15 GMT on Wednesday 5th.

A FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Stronsay.
A combination of spring high tides and strong north-westerly winds means that there is a risk of coastal flooding in Stronsay. Any low lying coastal roads and properties across the island exposed to the prevailing wind will be subject to significant wave spray impacts. Waves overtopping roads, harbour and foreshore may lead to hazardous and unpredictable conditions. Northerly winds place houses facing the harbour in Whitehall at particular risk. The highest risk will be a few hours either side of the high at 11:45 GMT on Tuesday 4th.

A FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Stronsay.
A combination of high tides, strong winds and surge means that there is a risk of coastal flooding in Stronsay. Any low lying coastal roads and properties across the island exposed to the prevailing wind will be subject to significant wave spray impacts. If large and overtopping waves are expected this would to hazardous unpredictable conditions.
Flooding is expected around the times of the high tides on Sunday at 21:00 GMT and Monday at 10:00 and 22:00 GMT.
Strong winds are expected to continue during Sunday and into Monday changing to a westerly direction. Water levels will be highest on Monday mornings high tide, but with variable wind and wave conditions, flooding can be expected around any of the high tide times mentioned.
More flooding is possible on Tuesday. An updated flood warning for Tuesdays high tides will be provided during Monday.

A FLOOD WARNING update has been issued for Stronsay.
A combination of very high tides and strong Southerly winds means that there is a risk of coastal flooding in Stronsay. Any low lying coastal roads and properties across the island exposed to the prevailing wind may be subject to significant wave spray impacts
The highest water levels have now passed but there will still be a risk of flooding around the times of the next two high tides, on Tuesday night around 1:30am and Wednesday around 2pm.

An updated FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Stronsay.
A combination of very high tides and strong Southerly winds means that there is a risk of coastal flooding in Stronsay. Any low lying coastal roads and properties across the island exposed to the prevailing wind may be subject to significant wave spray impacts.
The highest risk will be a few hours either side of the high tide on Tuesday at 1pm. There may also be a risk of flooding around the high tide on Monday night at 1am.
The highest water levels on Tuesday are predicted to be the highest in the last 15 years. Any properties that have been affected by coastal flooding in the past are likely to be at risk on Tuesday.
