This flood warning remains in force today (16/11/2019) due to ongoing high river levels on the Lower River Don. High tides will slow down the drain of the washlands along the river, however levels are now dropping steadily at Doncaster. There is no significant rainfall forecast throughout today. We continue to monitor the situation closely and are pumping into the River Don from Blackshaw Dyke and our Leeds incident room remains open. For information on Doncaster Council Community Recovery Hubs please visit: https://www.doncaster.gov.uk/News/flooding-faqs-and-advice-for-residents.
Please avoid contact with floodwater, stay away from embankments holding back flood water and plan journeys to avoid low-lying roads. Visit Gov.UK for the latest information on the situation and forecast. To report any flood impacts call 0800 80 70 60.

Ouse
River levels in the Lower River Don (tidal) remain high. Relatively high tides for the remainder of the week will work to hold freshwater back as it drains from wash-lands along the river. A band of rain has now moved across South Yorkshire/Derbyshire this evening (14th November) and scattered showers are forecast overnight tonight. River levels are expected to peak much lower than those seen on the 7th and 8th of November and we do not anticipate further overtopping of river banks and defences. The Leeds incident room remains open and we will be closely monitoring the situation and the need to maintain this flood warning. See GOV.UK for a 5 day flood forecast. Our staff have deployed pumps, people and equipment. This message will be updated by 08:50 on 15/11/19, or as the situation changes.
