River levels remain high on the River Lee after heavy rainfall. River levels have peaked and flooding is expected to continue until levels reduce. Flooding continues to affect locations near the River Lee, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around Batford; Lower Luton Road; Wheathampstead; Crawley Road; The Potting Shed; Coldharbour Lane; Riverside Estate; Lea Business Park; Cherry Tree Lane; Station Road (The Bull); Meads Lane; Mill Walk; High Street; Ash Grove; Kingfisher Close; Riverside Clinic; The Folly; King Edward Place; and Leasey Dell Drive. Further rainfall is expected this evening. The forecast for Tuesday 24 September is for minimal rainfall. The risk of flooding is expected to reduce overnight tonight and through tomorrow.
