"Property flooding is not currently expected. Heavy showers are forecast overnight and through tomorrow, however the rainfall totals expected and locations are uncertain. If we receive this forecasted rainfall, water levels on the River Blackwater and the Cove Brook will be expected to rise quickly in response. Flooding of low lying land and roads would be expected. We are constantly monitoring river levels and our staff are out in the area checking for and clearing blockages. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings, flood waters may be deep and fast flowing. Please refer to the River and Sea levels in England webpage for current levels. Property flooding is not currently expected. Levels on the River Blackwater have remained high in response to recent rainfall and high groundwater levels. There will be heavy rainfall across the area from this morning through until early Tuesday morning. Although levels on the River Blackwater and Cove Brook have been gradually falling over the last few days, flooding of low lying land and roads is possible. We are constantly monitoring river levels. Property flooding is not currently expected, however, there will be widespread, persistent, heavy rain early Monday morning and all day. If we receive this forecasted rainfall, water levels on the River Blackwater will be expected to rise quickly throughout the morning and afternoon in response.
