River levels within the Lower River Colne catchment are slowly falling. Flooding to low lying land and roads is still possible today, Thursday 8 October. We have seen flooding in the West Drayton area for which a flood warning is currently in force. This flood alert remains in force to specifically cover the West Drayton area. Rain has been falling overnight although this has not significantly affected river levels. Some rainfall is forecast today, Thursday 8 October. As with last night’s rain, we do not expect this to significantly impact river levels. We are closely monitoring rainfall and river levels and will update this message on Thursday evening, or earlier if the situation changes.

River levels within the Lower River Colne catchment are slowly falling. Flooding to low lying land and roads is still possible today, Wednesday 7 October. We have seen flooding in the West Drayton area for which a flood warning is currently in force. Today will be mostly dry, so river levels should continue to slowly fall. Some rain is forecast later this evening and into tomorrow (Thursday). We are closely monitoring rainfall and river levels and will update this message by 8pm this evening, or earlier if the situation changes.

Heavy rainfall over the weekend has caused the River Colne to rise, particularly in the Uxbridge and Cowley areas. We have also had reports of high levels in the West Drayton area. There is likely to be flooding to low lying land and roads close to the river today, Sunday 4 October. Flooding from surface water, where water gathers and flows off road surfaces, could also occur. Further rain is expected today so we expect the river to remain high for the rest of the day. We are constantly monitoring river levels and have staff on standby to attend to any blockages in the river. This message will be updated by 8pm this evening or earlier if the situation changes
