Highest tide level is expected to be at Watch House Road in Pill and the Station Road area in Shirehampton at 8:45 PM BST on 18/10/2024. The forecast high water is expected to reach a level of 8.04 mAOD with a Force 5 Southerly wind. Flooding is possible two hours either side of this time.
Areas most at risk include Watch House Road in Pill and the Station Road area in Shirehampton.
This is the highest Spring tide. Further high tides are expected throughout the weekend but these are not expected to meet the flood warning criteria.
Our incident response staff will be on site closing flood gates. Be careful along beaches, promenades and low lying coastal footpaths and roads.

Waves are forecast to overtop coastal defences at Watch House Road in Pill and the Station Road area in Shirehampton.

High spring tides are forecast to continue over the next few days. Forecast high water this evening is at 9:15 PM with a level of 7.84 mAOD and a Force 4 South Westerly wind. High water tomorrow morning 13/02/2024 is at 9:45 AM with a level of 7.95 mAOD and a Force 4 Southerly wind. Times are local and refer to the high water time at Avonmouth, however conditions may apply one hour either side of the high tides. mAOD is height above average sea level for more detail refer to local tide tables.
Areas most at risk include the tidal River Avon from Sea Mills to Conham in Bristol and between the Avonmouth Bridge and Shirehampton Park including Pill and Shirehampton. Flooding to roads and farmland is possible but properties are not expected to flood at this point. We are closely monitoring the situation and our staff will be on site closing flood gates and checking defences over the next few days. Please be careful along low lying footpaths and roads. Areas most at risk include Watch House Road in Pill and the Station Road area in Shirehampton. The high tide will be at 9:00 AM tomorrow with a forecast level of 8.09 mAOD and a Force 4 Westerly wind. Flooding is possible at this time.
