Flood Alert issued on 1 Apr 2018 12:31
Bristol River Avon, River Boyd, By Brook, Brislington Brook
The majority of Sunday will be dry until later on in the afternoon. A band of heavy and persistent rain will move across the area overnight Sunday and into Monday. The most intense rainfall will be between 23:00 and 09:00. River levels are generally stable however, as the rain passes through, this will lead to a rise in all river levels in the area therefore we are issuing all the Flood Alerts for the Bristol Avon area. There is an outside possibility of a couple of flood warnings being issued overnight but due to the uncertainty, we will not know the exact location of these until the rain passes through. We will be carrying out routine checks around the Bristol Avon area to ensure that the additional water will be able to travel through the system as expected. This message will be updated again Monday morning once the latest weather forecasts and models have been run and assessed.
