We are currently in a period of high spring tides. Overtopping and onshore flooding may occur as a result of sea spray, where strong winds blow water from the crests of waves onshore. Thursday's evening tide is not forecast to reach flood alert but Friday morning's tide will exceed the threshold level. The time and date of the forecast high water is 08:15 on 22/03/2019. The forecast tide level is 7.97 m AOD. The forecast wind strength and direction is Force 3 South South West. Please note all tide times are in local time and are using the 24 hour clock and refer to the high water time at Avonmouth. We will be monitoring the situation and have gangs on standby should they be required.
