Flooding is possible in this area. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Avoid using low lying footpaths or entering areas prone to flooding. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one. Environment Agency Flood Warning Officers set the river or tidal levels that have triggered this message. During industrial action this message has been automatically issued based on rising river or tidal levels.

River levels are beginning to drop, but may remain responsive to further rainfall. Areas most at risk are around Middle Level, including Pondersbridge, Ramsey St Mary's, Benwick and Welney. Further light rainfall is possible over the next hours, however we are not expecting the situation to escalate. We will update this message by 6pm today, 06/08/2023.

River levels are forecast to rise in response to the current weather conditions. Areas most at risk are around Middle Level, including Pondersbridge, Ramsey St Mary's, Benwick and Welney. Further heavy rainfall is expected over the 12 hours which will keep river levels high and could also lead to some surface water problems. Take care on riverside roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are monitoring the situation. We will update this message by 9am tomorrow, 06/08/23, or if the situation changes.

The Chatteris and March rain gauges have recorded significant rainfall over the last 24 hours as a result of the bands of heavy rainfall passing over the catchment. Consequently, flooding of low lying roads and farmland is possible over the next couple of days. Areas likely to be affected are Middle Level, including Pondersbridge, Ramsey St Mary’s, Benwick and Welney. There is potential for some further rainfall today, Monday 24th October, although this is not expected to be significant. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying roads and footpaths which are flooded. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, Tuesday 25th October, or as the situation changes.
