River Weaver
River levels are beginning to drop below flood warning thresholds. However, there remains a risk from surface / standing water. We are closely monitoring the situation, and we will issue further updates where necessary. Please be aware of your surroundings and keep up to date with the current situation. River Weaver
River levels are rising at the Hayhurst Bridge river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall and are expected to remain high until Friday. Consequently, flooding of properties off Navigation Road, Chester Way, Dock Road, Yarwood Close, Marine Approach and Leicester Street is possible from tonight, Wednesday 20th January. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours but the river levels are expected to peak tomorrow evening, Thursday 21st January. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring weather forecasts and river levels and will issue further flood warnings if necessary. We have deployed flood defences in Northwich. Please be aware of your surroundings and keep up to date with the current situation. This message will be updated tomorrow, Thursday 21st January or as the situation changes.
