River levels are continuing to rise at the Chase Way river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rain associated with Storm Christoph. Consequently, flooding to properties along Rivacre Brook is possible. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours and we expect river levels to remain high until Friday. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring weather forecasts and river levels and will issue further flood warnings if necessary. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses, be aware of your surroundings and keep up to date with the current situation. This message will be updated tomorrow, Thursday 21st January, or as the situation changes

Persistent rain is forecast to continue into this evening and into the early hours of Friday morning. Water levels are rising rapidly in Rivacre Brook at Great Sutton near Ellesmere Port. The flood warning level is expected to be reached at 17:30 today. Our Operations teams are active in this area clearing grids. Be aware of your local surroundings and remain safe. We will continue to monitor and will update this message as the situation develops.
