River levels are rising on the River Weaver due to Storm Babet. Areas most at risk include higher level properties at Acton Bridge and Weaverham. No further rainfall is forecast, but river levels are still rising and are expected to peak overnight. Our incident rooms are open and we are closely monitoring the situation. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your surroundings. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. This message will be updated as the situation changes.
