River levels are rising at the Pickerings Cut river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall and are expected to remain high until Friday. Consequently, flooding for higher level properties at Acton Bridge, Weaverham and Little Leigh is possible tonight, on Wednesday 20th January, and into tomorrow. Further rainfall is forecast but it is expected that river levels will peak tomorrow evening, on Thursday 21st January. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring weather forecasts and river levels and will issue further flood warnings if necessary.
