River levels are remaining high at the Manley Hall and Farndon river gauges as a result of persistent rainfall over the last few days. We are expecting persistent rainfall throughout Saturday 16th March. Consequently flooding is possible for low lying land and roads around the River Dee at Shocklach, Farndon, Handley, Lower Kinnerton, Chester and Puddington. We expect river levels to remain high and potentially rise throughout the weekend. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring weather forecasts and river levels and will issue further flood updates as necessary. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated as the situation changes.

We expect river levels to remain high and potentially rising throughout the weekend and we are closely monitoring the situation. Following heavy rain over the weekend, the weather outlook is much improved with no significant rain in the current forecast. River levels on the River Dee at Farndon have peaked and will now start dropping over the next few days. Flooding will continue to affect Townfield Lane today. River levels are expected to fall beneath the flood warning level later this evening on Tuesday 16th October. Be aware of your local surroundings and remain safe. Following heavy rain over the weekend, the weather outlook is much improved with no significant rain in the current forecast. River levels on the River Dee at Farndon stabilised on Sunday but have crept up overnight and are now affecting Townfield Lane. River levels upstream have peaked and we do not expect any significant further rise in river levels at Farndon. Flooding will continue to affect Townfield Lane today with river levels peaking between 2:00 and 3:00pm today, Monday 15th October. Levels are expected to recede overnight. Be aware of your local surroundings and remain safe.
