Flooding is expected over the high tide on Sunday morning (4th March). High water at Newlyn is at 06:10am. Locations at risk include Mousehole, Praa Sands and Porthleven. Large waves and easterly winds along the coast, coinciding with spring tides are forecast to cause flooding up to 3 hours either side of high tide. Large waves and spray are likely - stay away from these areas where possible. This may cause localised standing water. Do not drive through flood water or waves. We are continuing to monitor the situation and will issue updates if it changes. Detailed tidal information; the forecast level at Newlyn is 3.26 mAOD, this is 0.45 metres above astronomical tide level, with Force 6 South Easterly winds and wave heights of 4.3m from the south.

Flooding is expected over the high tide on Saturday morning (3rd March). High water at Newlyn is at 05:30am. Locations at risk include Mousehole, Praa Sands and Porthleven. Large waves and strong winds along the coast, coinciding with spring tides are forecast to cause flooding up to 3 hours either side of high tide. Large waves and spray are likely - stay away from these areas where possible. This may cause localised standing water. Do not drive through flood water or waves. Cold weather is likely to increase hazardous conditions. Further flood warnings are possible over the weekend. We are continuing to monitor the situation and will issue updates if it changes. Detailed tidal information; the forecast level at Newlyn is 3.19 mAOD, this is 0.34 metres above astronomical tide level, with Force 7 SE winds and wave heights of 1.9m.

Severe Gale force 9 easterly winds, and offshore waves up to 6m are forecast to cause flooding to properties up to 3 hours either side of high tide. Expect tides to be around 400mm higher than predicted due to weather conditions. Locations particularly at risk include Mousehole, Praa Sands and Porthleven. Large waves and spray are likely so take care near coastal paths and promenades. This may cause standing water on roads. Do not drive through flood water or waves. The current cold weather may increase hazards along the coast. Further flood warnings are possible over the weekend. We are monitoring the situation and will issue updates if the situation changes. Detailed tidal information for those who use it; the forecast high tide level at Newlyn is 3.16 mAOD, this is 0.4m above astronomical tide level.
