Communities particularly at risk include Mousehole, Penzance, Newlyn, Long Rock and Marazion. Expect tides to be around 170mm higher than predicted on tide timetables due to weather conditions.
From Monday morning onwards the tide levels begin to decrease and conditions are easing.

This may cause localised wave over-topping of defences and spray in exposed coastal areas. Peak water levels may be up to 250mm higher than published tides. Locations at risk include Penzance seafront, Porthleven and Mullion Cove. People are advised to stay away from risk areas and take care next to the coast. Peak tide levels could be up to 450mm higher than published. A flood warning will be issued for this tide.

High water at Newlyn is 16:31. Time varies for other locations along the coast. Peak tide levels may be 200mm higher than published.
Flooding is possible 2 hours either side of high tide.
Locations which may be affected include Mounts Bay. Conditions in exposed locations are likely to be hazardous and people are advised to take care on the coast.
Following this evening’s high water, tide levels will drop over the next few days. However, weather will remain unsettled with large waves and strong winds expected.
