The high tide at Newlyn on Friday morning is at 07:24, times of high water will vary along the coast. Forecast total high tide level is 2.99mAOD . Expect tide levels along the coast to be between 0.5 and 0.7 metres above tide table level. Force 3 south westerly winds and offshore wave heights of over 3m are forecast over the high tide. High tides are expected to cause flooding over the evening tide on Wednesday 4 February and morning tide on Thursday 5 February. Areas particularly at risk include exposed coastal areas of Plymouth Sound including Cawsand, Kingsand and The Hoe, Millbrook and low lying areas on the Tidal Lynher, Tamar, Tavy, Plym and Yealm estuaries. The high tide at Newlyn on Wednesday evening is 18:33 and Thursday morning is at 06:49, times of high water will vary along the coast. Forecast total high tide level is 3.01m and 3.23mAOD repectivley. Expect tide levels along the coast to be between 0.5 and 0.7 metres above tide table level. Force 7 easterly winds tonight moving to force 4 Southerly winds on Thursday and offshore wave heights of over 2m are forecast over the high tide. Locations particularly at risk include low lying areas around Jack's Bridge, Newlyn, along Penzance promenade and low lying areas around Porthleven harbour Waves and spray are likely so take care near the coast. Do not walk or drive through flood water or waves. Coastal conditions should ease for Wednesday morning's high tide, however, conditions are forecast to worsen again for Wednesday evenings tide, bringing a further risk of flooding. Locations particularly at risk include low lying areas around Penzance Harbour, including Abbey Slip and Wharf Road car park, Newlyn harbour, Marazion (Green Lane area), Porthleven Harbour, and Mullion Cove. Waves and spray are likely so take care near the coast. Do not walk or drive through flood water or waves. Coastal conditions should ease for Wednesday morning's high tide, however, conditions are forecast to worsen again for Wednesday evenings tide, bringing a further risk of flooding. Exposed coastal locations are particularly at risk including Mousehole, Newlyn, Penzance, Longrock, Marazion, Praa Sands and Porthleven harbour. Large waves and spray are likely so take care near the coast. Do not walk or drive through flood water or waves. As tide heights increase towards spring tides at the weekend there may be a further risk of flooding, we will issue flood alerts if required. Following some minor flood impacts over Sunday morning’s high tide, tide levels are lower and weather conditions are expected to ease by Sunday evening’s high tide. However, flooding to low lying land and roads is still possible, and a flood alert remains in force. Conditions will ease for Monday morning’s high tide. These are the biggest tides of the year, peaking on Thursday evening. Sea conditions are expected to be calm due to high pressure, however still water conditions may still cause flooding to low lying roads and quaysides. Locations particularly at risk include Mousehole, Newlyn, and Marazion. Do not walk or drive through flood water or waves.
