Flooding is possible overnight on Tuesday 15th October and into Wednesday. An area of persistent rain with heavy and thundery bursts at times will arrive from the south from early this evening. The highest rainfall totals are expected on south facing slopes of higher ground but there is a risk of bands of more prolonged, intense rainfall anywhere in the area overnight and throughout the morning. Following recent rainfall, catchments are wet. Rivers are expected to rise before midnight and remain high overnight into Wednesday morning, leading to flooding of low lying land and roads. Some areas may see surface water flooding. Weather conditions are expected to improve during Wednesday. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Flooding is possible during the evening of Monday 25th March, and into the night. Prolonged rainfall across Cornwall over the past 12 hours has brought totals of around 40mm in localised areas. Rainfall is expected to continue until around midnight on Monday. Catchments are saturated and the Tresillian River at Ladock has responded to this rainfall, which could cause flooding to low lying land and roads close to the river on Monday evening and into the night. Flooding is possible on Sunday the 25th of February and overnight into Monday 26th of February. Recent rainfall has caused the rivers to rise. Expected levels suggest there will be flooding to low lying land and roads close to the river this afternoon and into the early hours of Monday morning. The Met Office has issued a Yellow Weather Warning for heavy rain in force until midnight, with forecast rainfall of 15 - 25 mm widely, and up to 60 mm in some locations. With saturated ground, rivers are expected to respond quickly to this rainfall. Take care near areas of concern and monitor your local weather conditions. Flooding is possible overnight on Wednesday the 15th of November, and into Thursday morning. An organised band of frontal rain is forecast to move across Cornwall from around 8pm this evening. Rainfall is forecast to be heavy and persistent until mid-morning. We are expecting accumulations of up to 30mm widely across Cornwall, but locally this may be higher. Catchments are very wet following recent rainfall, river levels are expected to rise which may result in flooding to low lying land and roads close to the river. Flooding is possible throughout tonight, Friday 29th October and into Saturday due to further persistent and heavy rainfall forecast. River levels have fallen over Friday daytime, but catchments remain saturated following the rainfall over the last 24 hours. Widespread totals forecast overnight are for 10-20mm, with up to 35mm in a few places. There is uncertainty over the location of the most intense rainfall. Rivers will respond quickly to this additional rainfall and flooding is possible to low lying land and roads close to rivers from 9pm on Friday evening and continuing through Saturday. Additional flood warnings may be issued for some locations. Surface water may be deep, especially where leaves have blocked the drains.
