Flooding is possible overnight on Tuesday 15th October and into Wednesday. An area of persistent rain with heavy and thundery bursts at times will arrive from the south from early this evening. The highest rainfall totals are expected on south facing slopes of higher ground but there is a risk of bands of more prolonged, intense rainfall anywhere in the area overnight and throughout the morning.
Following recent rainfall, catchments are wet. Rivers are expected to rise before midnight and remain high overnight into Wednesday morning, leading to flooding of low lying land and roads. Some areas may see surface water flooding. Weather conditions are expected to improve during Wednesday.

Over the last few days, we have seen prolonged heavy rainfall meaning catchments are becoming wetter, and in particular the Rivers Valency and Camel are expected to rise in response to further rain forecast through Saturday evening, overnight and throughout Sunday.
Expected river levels suggest that there will be flooding to low lying land and roads close to rivers from around 6am.
We expect rivers to continue to rise throughout Sunday, with levels peaking on Sunday evening. No flooding to properties is currently forecast.

Flooding is possible on Sunday the 25th of February and overnight into Monday 26th of February. Recent rainfall has caused the rivers to rise. Expected levels suggest there will be flooding to low lying land and roads close to the river this afternoon and into the early hours of Monday morning.
The Met Office has issued a Yellow Weather Warning for heavy rain in force until midnight, with forecast rainfall of 15 - 25 mm widely, and up to 60 mm in some locations. With saturated ground, rivers are expected to respond quickly to this rainfall.

A further organised band of rain is forecast for Thursday 22nd of February that may be heavy and persistent, meaning river levels will remain high.

Flooding is possible over Tuesday night and into Wednesday. Heavy rain is forecast from Tuesday evening and into Wednesday, and river levels are expected to rise overnight.

A band of frontal rain will move northeast across Cornwall on Thursday afternoon bringing widespread rainfall totals averaging 15mm, with higher accumulations of up to 30mm possible in local areas. The worst of the rainfall is forecast to clear the region by 6pm on Thursday, though isolated showers will remain.
Catchments are saturated and rivers are expected to respond to this rainfall which could cause flooding to low lying land and roads close to rivers on Thursday afternoon and into the evening. In particular, intense rainfall in the Bodmin area has caused water levels in the Bodmin Town Leat catchment to rise rapidly, however other watercourses within this warning area may also see rising levels. Levels are expected to peak between 4pm and 10pm. Areas primarily at risk include low lying land and roads.

Widespread totals forecast overnight are for 10-20mm, with up to 30-35mm in a few places. There is uncertainty over the location of the most intense rainfall. Overnight widespread rainfall resulted in totals over 40mm with intense rain of more than 80 mm over high ground. This has led to rivers rising rapidly and flooding to low lying land and roads close to rivers. While River levels are currently peaking they remain high ahead of rainfall forecast for this evening and in to the early hours of Saturday morning. Additional flood warnings may be issued for some locations.

Flooding is possible this evening, Thursday 28th October, and into Friday due to persistent and heavy rainfall crossing the area. Following unsettled weather over the past week, catchments are saturated and rivers are likely to respond quickly to the forecast rainfall.
Widespread rainfall totals of 20-30 mm are expected. Intense rain may result in totals of up 50 mm, increasing to 70mm over high ground. Urban areas may respond the quickest to this rainfall. Deep surface water and flooding to low lying land and roads close to rivers is expected from around 8pm on Thursday. Flood warnings may be issued for some locations.
The most persistent rain is expected to ease during Friday before further outbreaks of rain spread in from the west during the evening and into Saturday. River levels are likely to remain high during this time.

This Flood Alert remains in force. Flooding is possible throughout today, Saturday 20th February and into Sunday.
Persistent overnight rain has caused river levels to rise, and we expect them to remain high throughout the day.
Further rainfall is forecast to continue throughout today. From early evening, rain will ease, becoming showery into Sunday. Some of this rain could be heavy, especially over high ground where very large totals remain possible.
This may result in flooding to low lying land and roads close to rivers. However, flooding to properties is not currently expected.

Flooding is possible overnight tonight Friday 19 February and into Saturday morning.
Persistent rain is forecast to continue through the remainder of today and into Saturday. Some of this rain could be heavy, especially over high ground where very large totals are possible.
This may result in flooding to low lying land and roads close to the river tonight Friday 19 February and into Saturday morning.
Further prolonged rainfall is forecast on Saturday before dying away later in the day. We expect river levels to remain high throughout this period, though no flooding to properties is currently expected.

River levels are responding now and rising following the overnight rain. A band of heavy and intense rainfall is forecast to cross the county this morning, Friday 18 December, between 9am and 12pm. Flooding is possible from the evening of Thursday 17 December through to the morning of Saturday 19 December. Heavy rain will spread in from the west overnight on Thursday. Showers and drizzle are forecast for Friday morning. This will turn into heavy and intense rainfall during Friday afternoon, evening and into the early hours of Saturday. Totals of up to 60mm are forecast to fall in a 12 hour period from Friday afternoon, with up to 75mm in 24 hours. Areas of higher ground may see totals of up to 100mm in 24 hours. Rivers are expected to respond quickly to this rainfall. Flooding of low-lying land and roads close to rivers is possible. Surface water may be deep, especially where leaves have blocked the drains. Following overnight rain, river levels continue to rise slowly through Wednesday 16th December. Particularly on the River Camel at Dunmere, water levels remain high and are expected to peak by mid-afternoon, before falling slowly overnight.
Further heavy rain is forecast Thursday evening into Friday morning, and with wet catchments, river levels will rise again by Friday morning. We will monitor the situation and update the Alert by 15:00 Thursday 17th Dec.

The Met Office have issued a weather warning for Storm Dennis to bring persistent and heavy rain which is forecast to continue until Sunday afternoon 16th February.
River levels are currently forecast to be at their highest between 08:00 and 13:00 on Sunday 16th February. Flood warnings may need to be issued based on the current forecast.
