Surface Water
River levels are rising at the Doomgate Beck surcharging manholes in Holme Street as a result of heavy rainfall throughout this morning. Consequently, flooding of property is imminent in the Holme Street, Chapel Street and Cherry Row areas. Flooding of properties is possible.
Further rainfall is forecast to ease over the next few hours. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are deploying pumps, people and equipment and liaising with emergency services.
Please avoid contact with flood water and move possession and valuables off the ground or to safety.
