River levels remain high on the Doomgate Beck due to heavy rainfall although no further rainfall is expected tonight. Areas most at risk include the Holme Street, Chapel Street and Cherry Row areas which should prepare for flooding from 7:00 PM on 21/01/2024. Our incident response staff have closed flood gates, checked defences and liaised with emergency services and local authorities. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your surroundings. This message will be updated by 9:00 AM on 22/01/2024, or as the situation changes.
