River levels have risen at the Fitz Bridge river gauge as a result of localised thunderstorms. Consequently, flooding of property is possible for the next few hours today, 11/08/2020. Flooding is expected to affect low lying areas and property adjacent to Dragley and Lund Becks at Rydal Road, Watery Lane, Fitz Bridge, Morecambe Road, Rope Walk and parts of South Ulverston at Low Mill Bridge, South View Farm and Outcast. We expect river levels to remain high until lunchtime, 11/08/2020. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. Please avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated by 10:00 on 11/08/2020, or as the situation changes.

River levels have risen at the Fitz Bridge river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and low lying farmland is possible today, 24/02/20. Low lying areas and property adjacent to Dragley and Lund Becks at Rydal Road, Watery Lane, Fitz Bridge, Morecambe Road, Rope Walk and parts of South Ulverston at Low Mill Bridge, South View Farm and Outcast may be affected. River levels are expected to peak early afternoon. Please plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers which may be flooded. We are closely monitoring the situation. Following continued rainfall overnight the river levels on Dragley Beck are forecast to reach the Flood Warning level of 1.6 metres at around 07:00 this morning on Friday 7th December 2018. The current forecast is for rainfall to pass through the area in the next hour and for river levels to peak just above the flood warning level at around 1.62 metres at 07:30 this morning . Areas at risk are from Dragley Beck Bridge on Well Lane downstream to South Ulverston. We will continue to monitor the situation and update this message if necessary.

Dragley Beck has responded to the rainfall over the last few days, but levels are now falling and are below both the flood warning and flood alert levels. The messages will be removed on Sunday morning. There are a few showers forecast on Sunday morning but no significant amount of rain is expected.

Following rainfall on Friday and throughout Saturday, river levels have continued to rise, and with further rain forecast for Saturday afternoon levels will remain high. We are currently forecasting that the flood warning level will be reached at approximately 16:00, today 13/10/18. The current forecast is for levels to peak at 0.7m. We will continue to monitor the situation and update this message if the situation changes.

Rain will continue into the morning of Thursday 23 November. River levels on Dragley Beck and Town Beck remain just above the flood warning threshold at Fitz Bridge and are expected to remain so into tomorrow. We have contractors and Environment Agency staff on the ground to help manage the situation and we will update this message when the situation changes.

Heavy rainfall overnight and this morning is forecast to continue through today and into the evening. River levels on Dragley Beck and Town Beck are rising and have gone through the flood warning threshold at Fitz Bridge, river levels will continue to rise during the course of the day but we expect rainfall to ease into the evening. We have contractors and Environment Agency staff on the ground to help manage the situation.

Heavy rainfall which has fallen over the last 12 hours in the Ulverston and Dragley Beck catchments, has meant that Town Beck and Dragley Beck levels are rising rapidly. The main area of concern are properties and low lying areas around the Buckston Place Car Park and Morecambe road confluence between Town Beck and Dragley Beck. Also areas of concern are the Outcast area and parts of South Ulverston adjacent to Dragley Beck. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. The current forecast is for rainfall to ease and fall away later this afternoon. We will be closely monitoring the situation throughout the day and we will update this message as the situation changes.
