River levels have risen at the Greta Bridge river gauge as a result of persistent rainfall on saturated ground. Consequently, flooding of property and land is expected to begin between 23:00 today 21/02/20 and 01:00 tomorrow, 22/02/20. Low lying properties and recreational areas adjacent to the River Greta in Keswick, including Upper Fitz Park, Lower Fitz Park, Station Road, Greta Side and Keswick AFC will be affected. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 3 hours. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are closing flood gates. This message will be updated tomorrow morning 22/02/20 or as the situation changes.

River Greta
River levels have risen at the Greta Bridge river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, low lying land and roads is expected. Low lying properties and recreational areas are at risk adjacent to the River Greta in Keswick, including Upper Fitz Park, Lower Fitz Park, Station Road, Greta Side and Keswick AFC We expect river levels to remain high this evening and overnight. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and roads near local watercourses. This message will be updated in 8 hours, or as the situation changes.

River levels have risen at the Greta Bridge river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Areas affected will be low lying properties and recreational areas adjacent to the River Greta in Keswick, including Upper Fitz Park, Lower Fitz Park, Station Road, Greta Side and Keswick AFC. Further rainfall is forecast until lunchtime today 09/02/2020. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are closing flood gates and checking defences. Further rain is expected into the morning of Thursday 23 November. River levels have now started falling but the warning will remain in force until the rain has cleared the county. The Environment Agency continues to monitor the situation and will update this message as the situation changes.

Heavy rainfall overnight and this morning is forecast to continue through today and into the evening. River levels are rising and we forecast that the flood warning threshold will be reached. River levels will continue to rise during the course of the day and are expected to peak during the afternoon. We will continue to monitor the situation and will update if the situation changes.
