Due to the heavy rainfall this morning and continued showers this afternoon, river levels are rising slowly and are forecast to continue to rise until around 7:00PM 27/08/2024. Weather conditions are expected to improve overnight and no further flooding is expected. The current forecast is for river levels to peak at around 2.35m. We will see drier conditions from the early hours 28/08/2024 and for the remainder of the week.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Ehen, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around properties adjacent to the River Ehen at Egremont, including the Bleach Green, Ennerdale Mill, Bridge End, Vale View, Wood Bank and Rugby Club areas.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.

Heavy rain from the early hours of the morning has caused rising river levels in the area. We expect this to cause some flooding from 7:00am this morning 23/8/24 and id expected to peak around 9:00am. Weather conditions are expected to improve throughout the morning and river levels will then fall.
Areas most at risk include properties adjacent to the River Ehen at Egremont, including the Bleach Green, Ennerdale Mill, Bridge End, Vale View, Wood Bank and Rugby Club areas.

This Flood Warning has been issued because flooding is expected this afternoon on 30/09/2022 between 04:00 PM and 07:00 PM.
Areas most at risk include properties adjacent to the River Ehen at Egremont, including the Bleach Green, Ennerdale Mill, Bridge End, Vale View, Wood Bank and Rugby Club areas.
