High river levels are possible on the Rivers Greta, Wenning, Hindburn, Roeburn, Keer, Lune, Conder, Burrow Beck and their tributaries The River Lune will peak around 00:30, 22/02/2020 before starting to fall through the early hours of Saturday morning. Heavy rain and strong winds are expected across parts of Lancashire on Wednesday evening before gradually easing overnight. The rain will clear eastwards during the early hours of Thursday morning. There remains some uncertainty with regards to the exact location of the heaviest rain. River levels have risen slightly throughout today and will rise again this evening as further rain falls. River levels are expected to peak later on Thursday morning. We will continue to monitor the situation.
