River levels are rising steadily on the River Goyt due to heavy rainfall. Areas most at risk include properties close to the River Goyt. Flooding is expected at properties close to the River Goyt from 06:00 PM on 02/01/2024. Further rainfall is forecast this evening. We will continue to monitor the forecast and re-issue this warning if necessary. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 12:00 noon on 03/01/2024, or as the situation changes.

Our incident rooms are open and we are closely monitoring the situation. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Goyt, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around properties close to the River Goyt.
