River levels have reacted at the Derby St Marys river gauge as a result of Storm Babet. Flooding continues. Areas most at risk are Alvaston. Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 6 hours. River levels are falling, but still pose a flood risk. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area and liaising with emergency services. Please plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and follow advice from emergency services.
