"River levels remain high but are beginning to fall at the Derby St Marys river gauge as a result of Storm BABET. Flooding continues. Areas most at risk are Pride Park, and Derby Railway Station. No further rainfall is forecast today. We expect river levels to remain high until later this evening 22/10/23. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area and liaising with emergency services. Please plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated by this evening, 22/10/23, or as the situation changes."
