River levels remain high at the Shardlow + Church Wilne river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall and snow. Flooding continues. Areas most at risk are Sawley Marina including Sawley Lock, and the B6540 Tamworth Road at Sawley. Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid contact with flood water and plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated by 07:00, 07/01/25, or as the situation changes.
