River Wye
River levels remain high but are beginning to fall at the Ashford river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, the risk of flooding is reducing. Areas most at risk are Bakewell, and A6 at Buxton. Further light rainfall is forecast overnight. We expect river levels to remain high until 21/02/2022. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services. Please avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated in 8 hours, or as the situation changes.

River Wye
River levels have risen at the Ashford river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property is expected this evening, 20/02/22. Areas most at risk are Bakewell, and A6 at Buxton.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next few hours with showers expected overnight. We expect river levels to remain high until 21/02/2022. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services. Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated in 8 hours, or as the situation changes.
