Continuing high river levels mean flooding remains possible today and overnight into 28 January. Heavy rain has fallen throughout Monday and into Tuesday and further showers are possible. Catchments are saturated and rivers are expected to remain high. Properties and low lying areas remain at risk, particularly Fore Street at Bovey Bridge, the mill and public house, Mill Marsh Park and Station Road. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car. This message will be updated by 4:00PM on 28 January 2026 or as the situation changes.

High river levels are expected to cause flooding overnight.  Flooding is expected from the early hours of 27 January 2026 .  Heavy rain falling in the area will continue overnight. Properties and low lying areas will start to flood from around 05:00am on Tuesday. The main areas of concern are Fore Street at Bovey Bridge, the mill and public house, Mill Marsh Park and Station Road. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. River levels are forecast to be at their highest between 05:00am and 07:00am.  We are monitoring rainfall and river levels .  Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car Start acting on your flood plan if you have one  This message will be updated by 3:00PM on 27 January 2026 or as the situation changes.

Flooding is expected throughout Sunday, 24th November. Heavy rain falling in the South Devon area will continue during Sunday. This is causing the River Bovey to rise and flooding is expected. Properties and low lying areas around Fore Street at Bovey Bridge, the mill and public house, Mill Marsh Park and Station Road, will start to flood first as river levels rise. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. We will be closely monitoring the situation, and this message will be updated if the situation changes.
