Heavy rain will continue to fall in the South Devon area. This is causing river levels to remain high. Properties and low lying areas around Fore Street at Bovey Bridge, the mill and public house, Mill Marsh Park and Station Road will remain at risk. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. We will be closely monitoring the situation throughout the day and this message will be updated on Sunday afternoon or earlier if the situation changes.

River Bovey
Flooding is expected this afternoon, Saturday 15 February, into the evening, and into tomorrow. Heavy rain falling in the South Devon area will continue throughout the weekend. This is causing the River Bovey to rise and the river is forecast to continue rising through the day. Properties and low lying areas around Fore Street at Bovey Bridge, the mill and public house, Mill Marsh Park and Station Road, will start to flood first from around 3pm on Saturday. River levels will be at their highest between 3pm and 11pm. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. We will be closely monitoring the situation throughout the day and this message will be updated as the situation changes.
