High river levels are expected to cause flooding today. Flooding is expected on 27 January 2026 . Heavy rain falling in the area will continue throughout the day. Properties and low lying areas will start to flood from around 01:30AM on Tuesday. The main areas of concern are Yeoford, Neopardy, Gunstone, Salmonchurch and Downes Mill. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. River levels will remain high throughout the morning. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels . Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car . Activate any flood protection products you may have This message will be updated by 3:00PM on 27 January 2026 or as the situation changes.

Flooding is expected overnight and into Saturday. Heavy rain has fallen in the area which has caused the River Yeo to rise, and the river is forecast to continue rising. Properties and low lying areas in Yeoford, Neopardy, Gunstone, Salmonchurch and Downes Mill will start to flood first. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Flooding is expected on Sunday afternoon. We have seen heavy rain fall in the Mid Devon area throughout Sunday morning. This is now causing the River Yeo to rise and the river is forecast to continue rising through the day. Properties and low lying areas in Yeoford, Neopardy, Gunstone, Salmonchurch and Downes Mill start to flood first from around 3:30pm on Sunday. River levels will be at their highest between 4pm and 7pm. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now.
