Continuing high river levels mean flooding remains possible today and overnight into 28 January. Heavy rain has fallen throughout Monday and into Tuesday and further showers are possible. Catchments are saturated and rivers are expected to remain high. Properties and low lying areas remain at risk, particularly in Clyst Honiton. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car. High river levels are expected to cause flooding today. Flooding is expected on 27 January 2026 . Heavy rain falling in the area will continue throughout the day. Properties and low lying areas will start to flood from around 7:30AM on Tuesday. The main areas of concern are Clyst Honiton. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. River levels are likely to remain high throughout the morning. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels . Flooding of homes and roads is expected into the early hours of Thursday 21 October. Heavy rain falling across the East Devon area has caused the River Clyst to rise rapidly. Flooding of property is imminent. Low lying properties, roads and land around Clyst Honiton will flood first. Install flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers. Do not walk or drive through flood water. Avoid low lying roads and footpaths, which may be flooded. We are monitoring river levels. We will update this message Thursday afternoon or if the situation changes.
