Heavy rain falling in the area has caused the River Yarty to rise, and the river is forecast to continue rising through the Morning. Properties, roads, fords and low lying areas around the river start to flood first from around 07:00am on Thursday Morning. Further flooding is expected all morning before the river level is forecast to drop back down. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings.

Heavy rain falling in the area throughout Tuesday is causing the River Yarty to rise. Properties, minor roads and low lying land near the river are expected to flood during Tuesday evening. River levels are expected to remain high as more rain is forecast overnight into Wednesday morning. We will be closely monitoring the situation and update this message on Wednesday morning or before if the situation changes.
