High river levels are expected to cause flooding overnight. Flooding is expected on 26 January 2026 . Heavy rain falling in the area will continue throughout the day. Properties and low lying areas will start to flood from around 11:45PM on Monday. The main areas of concern are High Street, Mill Street, King Street and Hansford Court. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. River levels are forecast to be at their highest between 11:45pm and 04:00am. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels . Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car . Start acting on your flood plan if you have one. This message will be updated by 03:00PM on 27 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
