River Tamar
The risk of flooding from the River Tamar has now reduced, however, a Flood Alert remains in place.
River levels are falling following heavy rain on Saturday night, but with saturated catchments river levels will remain high throughout Sunday.
There may be standing water and flooding to low lying land and roads close to the river throughout Sunday.
Please take care near the areas of concern, avoid walking or driving through flood water, and monitor your local weather conditions.
We are monitoring river levels and will update this message by 10am on Monday or earlier if the situation changes.

River Tamar
Flooding is expected on Sunday, 18th February 2024.
Heavy overnight rain has caused the River Tamar to rise and the river is forecast to stay high throughout the day.
Properties and low lying areas could start to flood first from around 08:30am on Sunday. River levels will be at their highest between 08:30am and midday, today.
Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings.

River Tamar
The river level on the Tamar is high following yesterday’s rainfall and flooding is possible. The river level peaked overnight and is gradually falling, however the catchment is saturated and a further 10mm of rain is expected today which could cause the river to rise again. Property flooding remains possible at Bridegrule throughout this morning and into this afternoon. Highway flooding is also possible on the A3072 between Holsworthy and Red Post, and between North Tamerton and Clawton.
Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. River Tamar
Persistent rain over the Tamar catchment has caused the River Tamar to rise. A further 20-30mm of rain is forecast this evening and flooding is expected.
Property flooding is possible at Bridegrule from early evening. Highway flooding is also likely on the A3072 between Holsworthy and Red Post, and between North Tamerton and Clawton. The river level is expected to peak at around 9pm and could remain high for several hours afterwards. We expect the river level to drop gradually in the early hours of the morning as the rainfall becomes lighter and more showery.
Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings.
