River Thrushel
Flooding is expected imminently. Take immediate action.
Heavy rain has fallen over the River Thrushel catchment with a further 20 mm of rain expected overnight. This has caused the River Thrushel to rise and the river is forecast to continue rising over the next 2-3 hours.
Properties near New Bridge including Bridge Cottage and low lying areas near the river will start to flood first. River levels are forecast to be at their highest in the early hours of Friday morning.
Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing, and roads could form flow routes. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings.
