River Brit
River levels have risen on the River Brit due to heavy rainfall. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Brit, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around CW Groves and Sons Nursery and the Skilling Playing fields and Football pitch in Bridport. Flooding of property is possible from 01:00 AM on 21/10/2021. Further heavy rainfall is forecast, gradually clearing by 03:00 AM. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and are checking rivers for blockages in the area. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water.
