River levels are high and are still rising in the Swan Brook at the river gauge as a result of saturated ground and heavy rainfall overnight. Further light rainfall is forecast on Saturday morning which will sustain the current high river levels thoughout the weekend. High groundwater levels are adding to river levels; consequently, there is a risk of flooding. We are closely monitoring the situation.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and see the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast.
