This warning is in place for West Bay Harbour with tides at their highest between 8:30pm and 10:30pm today Friday 12th and between 7:30am and 10:00am Saturday 13th October. Flooding to properties at West Beach and around the harbour is likely at these times, however conditions may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide. Large waves and spray are likely so take care near coastal paths and promenades. This may cause localised standing water on roads between Park Dean Campsite and West Bay Road. Environment Agency staff have checked defences in the area and we are continuing to monitor the situation closely. The tidal gates at West Bay Harbour have been closed and will remain closed during high tide times. The highest forecast water level including waves is 6.89mAOD, this is 4.4 metres above astronomical tide level. The forecast wind direction is south south west and the forecast wind strength is Force 7.

Environment Agency staff have checked defences in the area and we are continuing to monitor the situation closely. Coastal conditions should ease for afternoon tide. The forecast peak water level is 5.94 mAOD with large waves and strong winds. The forecast wind direction is southerly and the forecast wind strength is Force 8.
