River levels remain high at the Colesbrook river gauge following recent rainfall falling on already saturated ground. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for tributaries between Gillingham and Sturminster Newton.
Storm Dennis is forecast to bring heavy rainfall over the weekend and river levels are expected to rise further in response to this rainfall. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. We are closely monitoring the situation and will update this message as the situation changes.
