This Flood Warning remains in force due to strong winds, surge, and high spring tides on the coast and Humber estuary. Wave and spray overtopping is possible on Friday 23/08/24 between 8:45AM and 9:30AM. This could cause some localised flooding. Areas most at risk include North bank of Humber estuary to the east of Humber Bridge, particularly around Hessle foreshore. We are expecting higher than normal tides over the coming days and as a result we may issue further alerts or warnings. We will continue to monitor the situation closely. Stay away from beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads, as the waves and sea spray could be dangerous. Areas most at risk include North bank of Humber estuary to the east of Humber Bridge, particularly around Hessle foreshore. We will continue to monitoring the situation. This flood warning for the Humber estuary at Hessle Foreshore has been issued as strong winds are expected to cause waves and spray overtopping on the Humber estuary this evening Friday 18/02/2022. Areas most at risk include North bank of Humber estuary to the east of Humber Bridge, particularly around Hessle foreshore. Overtopping waves and spray are expected from 07:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Unsettled conditions are expected to continue so alerts and warnings may be required over the weekend. We will continue to liaise with local authorities and keep closely monitoring the situation. Consider activating any property flood protection products and start acting on your flood plan if you have one. Plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads, which may be flooded. Spring tides and strong winds are forecast to bring high levels and large waves along the Humber estuary on Sunday 7th November. The area most at risk is the North Bank of the Humber estuary at Hessle foreshore. Some of the highest tides of the year are expected over this weekend, and the forecast shows that, due to the local weather conditions, Sunday morning’s tide will be particularly high. The highest levels are expected on Sunday morning around 06:30-08:00. Our operational staff will be out inspecting our flood defences before and after the peak tides, and we are liaising closely with our partners. Please keep away from flood water and to report an issue relating to river, tidal or coastal flooding, call our Incident Hotline number 0800 80 70 60. Be aware of your surroundings and keep up to date with the current situation via our Check for Flooding Service on Gov.UK or via Floodline number 0345 988 1188. This Flood Warning has been issued as strong to gale force winds combined with high tidal levels in the River Humber are expected to create overtopping waves and wind-blown spray at Hessle Foreshore tomorrow morning between 09:00 and 10:30, Thursday 19/11/20. Please stay away from frontages around Hessle Foreshore as large waves can be dangerous. Strong winds and large waves are expected to continue during Thursday, and so further Flood Alerts and Warnings may be issued for subsequent tides. Activate your flood plan and check gov.uk/flood for future updates. We are constantly monitoring the situation and will update this message by 10am on Thursday, or as the situation changes.

This flood warning has been issued as a result of high spring tides. Tides will be at their highest between 05:15 and 09:00 tomorrow, 16/11/2020. Flooding to properties, roads and farmland is possible at these times, however conditions may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide. Areas most at risk are North bank of the Humber Estuary at Hessle Foreshore. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast.
