River Tillingham
River levels have now begun to fall following the heavy rainfall experienced yesterday. Water levels along the River Tillingham between Broad Oak and Rye are currently below the level we would expect to directly contribute to property flooding. However, water levels may rise again in Rye to coincide with high tide between 6am and 10am on Friday morning, 6 March. Flooding to land and roads is possible in this area until Friday morning. No further rainfall is forecast. We are continuing to monitor the situation closely from our incident room and have been working closely with our partners. Please continue to remain safe in this area and avoid contact with flood waters. This Flood Warning message will be removed or updated by 11am on Friday 6 March.
