Polegate Brook Street Stream, Wannock Mill Stream
The Wannock Mill Stream is high and rising. 15mm of rain has been recorded at Folkington on Sunday. From 01:00 26/02/2024 minor flooding could possibly affect gardens of Brook Street and Gosford Way and the Gosford Way Allotments. Riverside properties at Millstream Gardens, The Millrace, Clement Lane, Brightling Road and Manor Way could also be affected by minor flooding. Rain could continue until 11:00 26/02/2024. Another 20mm of rain could fall. The Wannock Mill Stream might not begin to fall until 13:00 26/02/2024, and could remain higher than normal until Tuesday 27/02/2024. Only scattered showers are then forecast until the end of the week. If you see a blockage affecting the flow in the river, please call our incident hotline on 0800 80 70 60. Polegate Brook Street Stream, Wannock Mill Stream
The Wannock Mill Stream is high and rising. 25mm of rain has been recorded at Folkington on Saturday morning, which is a lot in a short space of time. From 11:00 09/12/2023 minor flooding could possibly affect gardens of Brook Street and Gosford Way and the Gosford Way Allotments. Riverside properties at Millstream Gardens, The Millrace, Clement Lane, Brightling Road and Manor Way could also be affected by small amounts of flooding. Rain will clear from 12:00 09/12/2023, and Saturday afternoon will be mostly dry. The river should begin to fall by 13:30 Saturday 09/12/2023, and should return to normal from Saturday evening. Only isolated showers are forecast Sunday and Monday, but up to 20mm of rain Tuesday 12/12/2023 could cause flood risk to return. Persistent and at times heavy rain is forecast this Sunday and Monday. Potentially half a month's rain (30-60mm) could fall. If as much rain falls as predicted, flooding could be possible. From 23:00 on 18/12/2022, minor flooding could affect gardens of Brook Street and Gosford Way and the Gosford Way allotments. Flooding could also affect riverside properties at Millstream Gardens, The Millrace, Clement Lane, Brightling Road and Manor Way. River levels might begin to fall during a period of drier weather from 02:00 on Monday 19/12/2022. However, further rain predicted around 07:00 on Monday morning could cause the Wannock Mill Stream to rise again. With unsettled weather throughout the next five-day forecast, small water level rises are possible all week.
