High river levels on Wednesday may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible on 22 October 2025 from 19:30 as intense (but uncertain) rainfall is forecast. Up to 40mm of rain could occur, but there is low confidence in location. If as much rain falls as predicted, then flooding could be possible. Flooding could affect roads, and approach a small number of properties on Thanet Way, Pegwell Close and Manston Way, as well as areas in Alexandra Park, Hastings. River levels could possibly peak higher than on Monday. Rain is forecast to continue until Thursday afternoon (23/10/2025). River levels and flood risk should begin to reduce in Hastings by 13:00 23/10/2025. We are closely monitoring the situation . Consider activating any flood protection products you may have Prepare to keep water from homes Thanet Way, Manston Way and Pegwell Close. This message will be updated by 12:30AM on 23 October 2025 or as the situation changes.

This alert is being issued early, in advance of possible heavy rain. 10-20mm of rain is forecast from the early hours of Monday, but as much as 60-70mm is possible. If as much rain falls as predicted, flooding could be possible. From 04:00 on 21/07/2025, flooding could affect roads, and approach a small number of properties on Thanet Way, Pegwell Close and Manston Way as well as areas in Alexandra Park, Hastings. It is possible some water could flow down Queens Road, Hastings. Further showers are predicted until the end of the week. The river should begin to fall by midday, and should return to normal shortly after. Properties close to the river on Thanet Way, Manston Way and Pegwell Close should consider preparing options to keep water from their homes. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast.
