River levels have risen at the Lydbrook river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall over the weekend. Flooding is affecting properties and roads in and around Lydbrook. The B4234 at Lower Lydbrook is affected. Ross on Wye peaked at 4.7m on Monday morning 28/10/19. No further significant rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. However river levels will remain high over the next few days, falling slowly. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
